1DROP’s Summer 2026 Quarterly Member Meeting: Collaborating as the Collective
On July 30, 2026, 1DROP members gathered at the Gig Harbor Golf Club for the Summer Quarterly Member Meeting under the theme Collaborating as the Collective— a call to move beyond passive networking and into intentional, action-driven partnership. Breaking silos, sharing capacity, and executing deals together: that was the mission for the evening.
From a high-energy capacity-mapping activity to structured peer-to-peer problem-solving sessions, the night was designed to push the collective from conversation into collaboration. It was a reminder that 1DROP is not just a network, it is an engine. And that engine runs on collective action.
Welcoming New Leadership and Expanding the Collective
The evening opened with shared food, music, and intentional connection as long-standing members welcomed both the April cohort and onboarding July prospective members.
A highlight of the night was the official welcome of Garry Gilliam as 1DROP’s new Program Director. Garry will lead efforts to streamline educational tracks, enhance technical workshops, and drive direct, high-value resources to 1DROP developers as they navigate their project pipelines. Additionally, the community celebrated its growing ecosystem by introducing new members, including Erasmus (Dino) Othieno, Jeanty Jean-Moise, Ariv Vozhi Adiaman, Curtis Young, John Gaines, and Gervon Simon.
Capacity Mapping Through Networking Bingo
What does it actually look like to collaborate as a collective? The evening offered a concrete answer through one of its most energizing moments: Networking Bingo.
Rather than leaving introductions to chance, the activity used structured bingo cards designed around professional skills, capacities, and experience areas. Members were challenged to find peers who matched each square, and have them sign it. First to hit Bingo won 1DROP swag. The activity reflected a central conviction behind the evening: that the collective's strength lives in knowing what its members can offer, and actively connecting people to that capacity.

Launching Allied Membership
A key milestone of the evening was the official announcement of 1DROP’s Allied Membership model, introduced by Krosbie Carter, Director of Partnerships, Fund Development, and Policy. Designed to strengthen the broader development ecosystem, Allied Membership creates a direct pathway for aligned corporate, financial, and technical partners to invest their resources, expertise, and networks into the success of 1DROP developers.
In an exciting moment for the collective, TAS Contract signed on as 1DROP’s very first official Allied Member right at the meeting! Krosbie issued a call to action for existing members to continue identifying and bringing in high-value, mission-aligned industry partners to further expand the collective's reach and impact.
Collective Discussion Rounds
The heart of the evening was a series of three structured, peer-to-peer discussion rounds tackling the real bottlenecks developers face today.
Round 1 — Member Financing explored which lenders and creative partners have successfully backed member projects, and how to solve for capital stack gaps like guarantor requirements and pre-construction loan payoffs.
Round 2 — Co-Development focused on what members bring or need in a co-developer, how to structure fair equity and liability splits, and how 1DROP can better match developers through a tiered Member Directory.
Round 3 — Policy Navigation surfaced the specific zoning and permitting regulations bottlenecking member pipelines, and how 1DROP can strengthen its advocacy at the municipal level.
Every insight shared at the table was captured, turning real conversations into collective resources the whole network can build on.
The Collective Engine
The night concluded with a full-room reflection on key connections made, shared commitments to mutual accountability, and a powerful one-word word cloud exercise capturing the spirit of the event.
Development is complex, capital-intensive, and demanding—but when underrepresented developers pool their knowledge, resources, and institutional capacity, system-level barriers begin to drop. The Summer 2026 Quarterly Member Meeting proved once again that building homes for good is not a solitary journey; it is a collective movement.
