Proof of Concept
Salishan Redevelopment
In partnership with Tacoma Housing Authority, LMC Construction and Brawner, 1DROP embedded six aspiring and emerging developers of color into the 316-unit Salishan renovation as paid apprentices.
Working alongside an institutional general contractor, they gained hands-on experience in construction administration, inspections, subcontractor coordination, and on-site decision-making. Salishan turned housing delivery into a platform for long-term capacity building across the development ecosystem.
