Yvonne Bui Unveils 6 Units at CrestView Townhomes Ribbon Cutting in Tacoma

On February 27th, 2026, the Tacoma community gathered at CrestView Townhomes to celebrate the completion of a 6-unit townhome development that represents a new chapter for both the neighborhood and for lead developer Yvonne Bui of Castle Development LLC.

The ribbon cutting brought together developers, lenders, construction partners, and community members to mark the arrival of attainable, thoughtfully designed homes for Tacoma's working professionals and families. For Yvonne, the moment carried a weight that no set of plans could fully capture.

It’s incredibly rewarding to watch a project evolve from plans on paper to real homes filled with people… knowing all the hard work, coordination, and long hours led to that moment is always one of the best parts to witness.

Yvonne Bui's Path to Tacoma

With a background rooted in advocacy and planning, Yvonne had long understood the dynamics of housing access — and when rising land costs in the south end pushed her to look at new markets, Tacoma kept coming up. She saw a city gaining momentum and chose to be part of its next chapter—expanding her portfolio into a market where attainable housing is badly needed and opportunity is still within reach for developers willing to move early.

I chose this neighborhood because I’d heard Tacoma was becoming a really promising, up-and-coming area, and I wanted to take a chance on a place with that kind of momentum.
— Yvonne Bui

That calculated bet is now six completed townhomes, a ribbon cut, and the foundation of a growing track record in a market she chose to believe in early.

Building for the "Missing Middle"

CrestView Townhomes was designed for working professionals, small families, and long-term community members who earn moderate incomes but are increasingly squeezed out of the rental market. The project serves households earning up to 120% of Area Median Income (AMI) — a bracket that often falls through the cracks of housing policy.

The 6-unit design itself reflects that vision. The small-scale townhome format — the feature Yvonne is most proud of — offers something the market rarely delivers at this price point: real space, privacy, and a genuine neighborhood feel.

It provides an attractive and attainable housing option for professional, middle-income households — the space, privacy, and neighborhood feel that many working families are seeking.
— Yvonne Bui

This is a format that doesn't ask moderate-income households to trade quality for affordability, giving working families the kind of home they've earned the right to live in.

The Ceremony

The ribbon cutting brought together guests for a full hour of celebration and community connection. The program opened with a welcome and speaker introductions, followed by remarks from Yvonne on the project's vision, journey, and impact — tracing the path from her first look at the Tacoma market to the moment residents began moving in.

Key contributors offered brief remarks: financial contributors Trang Le and Phong Bui, lending partner Scott Beckwith of Harborstone Credit Union, General Contractor Dominique Remy, and Superintendent of Construction Matt Brooke. Each voice added a layer to the story of what it takes to bring six homes from concept to completion.

Guests then toured Units A and B, exploring the small-scale design features that define CrestView's character. The hour closed with open Q&A, networking, and refreshments — a fitting celebration for a project built on relationships

The Ripple Effect

As Yvonne looks toward her next milestone CrestView Townhomes stands as proof of what's possible when emerging developers are given the support, relationships, and opportunity to build.

By delivering thoughtful, small-scale development like these townhomes, I can help expand housing choices, strengthen neighborhoods, and help more residents live and stay in the community they serve
